There’s always something fun to do in Colorado Springs, both for locals and those in town for a few days. Here are some of the best ways to explore COS—even if you only have a few days!

Visit the Glen Eyrie Castle

That’s right there are castles in the United States! The Glen Eyrie Castle was built in 1871 by General William Jackson Palmer. Now a stunning hotel, and retreat and conference space. If you won’t be staying in the castle overnight, you can arrange to book afternoon tea or a tour of the castle and 700-acre grounds.

Fab Food And Drinks

Our food scene is gaining some attention. We have a nice mix of casual dining spots, global cuisine, fusion restaurants, and All-American classics by local culinary innovators. Colorado is home to over 150 craft breweries, 20 of which are in and around Colorado Springs.

Tour The Olympic Training Centers

You don’t have to be an athlete to enjoy the OTC tour. This is the most impressive athletic center in the nation, where past, current, and Olympic hopefuls take their training to the next level. You might even get to see a few athletes training or in passing during your tour! If you are a fan of figure skating, we are also home to The World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

Visit A Local Museum

Our city is rich in history which we celebrate in our many local museums. There is a museum or two that will interest everyone you are traveling with. Museums are also a fun daytime date activity. From rodeo to aviation, nature, sports, local history, mining, and more. We even have a money museum!

Take A Guided Segway Tour

Have you always wondered what it would be like to ride a Segway? Now’s your chance! Cheyenne Cañon Segways (CCS) has three different group tours to choose from, or you can tour solo, or create a custom tour for your groups. We can even make a day of it by setting up corporate team building activities and Segway rides. Don’t worry, training is included as part of the tour. Some of the stops along the way will include:

  • Cheyenne Cañon Inn
  • Starr Kempf’s Outdoor Kinetic Art Display
  • The Trail to Seven Falls
  • Starsmore Discovery Center
  • The Penrose House
  • The Penrose Heritage Museum
  • The Broadmoor Resort
  • Pauline Chapel
  • The Colorado Springs School
  • The Cheyenne Mountain Country Club
  • The Golden Bee
